TUTORIAL
Creating and editing an article V6
Learn how to create and format an article in Omerlo, from writing the content to structuring the final layout.

Create a new article
In the Composer, open Articles, then click New. Select a Template, leave the status on Draft, choose the language, then click Create.
Fill in the header
In the Editor tab, enter the article's Title, Subtitle and Lead-in. The character counter helps you stay within the recommended lengths.
Choose the visual
Under Visual, choose the type: Image, Carousel, Video or None. Upload or select the media that will lead the article at the top of the page.
Set the author
Under Authors, choose People or Organizations, search for the profile, select it, then click Save. You can add several authors.
Add content blocks
Under Blocks, click + and choose a type: Text, Image, Quote, Video, Carousel, HTML, Data or Related content. Write the content, then click Save. Add as many blocks as needed and reorder them with the up/down arrows.
Format the text
In a Text block, use the toolbar to apply subheadings (H2 to H6), bold, italics, lists and links. The formatting is kept in the published article.
Manage language versions
At the top of the editor, use the language selector (FR/EN) to switch between versions. Click Create to add a language, then fill in the fields and blocks in that language. Each language has its own content.
Preview and publish
Use the Preview tab to see how the article will look, then the Publications tab to publish it on your media. The article stays in Draft status until it is published. Publishing is detailed in the "Publishing an article V6" tutorial.
If you change an article's status to "Completed," it is not possible to revert it to "Draft."
