Trusted by the Media: Our Reputation Speaks Volumes

Whether it's the Coops de l'information, Le Devoir newspaper or Protégez-vous magazine, many Quebec media use our technology to create, publish and distribute their content. This is one of the main reasons why Omerlo is accelerating the development of high-performance digital tools.

Les Coops de l'information

Les Coops de l'information brings together six regional media: Le Soleil (Quebec City), Le Nouvelliste (Trois-Rivières), La Tribune (Sherbrooke), La Voix de l'Est (Granby), Le Quotidien (Saguenay) and Le Droit (Gatineau). In 2017, these six dailies adopted the Omerlo platform and made their first real digital footprint. From this vast rollout, several digital products will emerge, all managed from a single location. The products include six websites and six iOS and Android mobile apps (one site and one app for each medium). There are also unique native components for movie reviews, crosswords, weather forecasts, automatic news distribution to Twitter, Facebook, Google News and Apple News, and mailing list creation.

Protégez-vous

The consumer protection magazine par excellence, Protégez-vous, was looking to modernize its PDF Replica mobile application. Not only did the magazine want more flexibility in its content offering, it also wanted a solution that would integrate seamlessly with its production workflow. Thanks to Omerlo, EZ-Publish content is automatically imported to create digital editions of the magazine. These are available via native mobile apps on iOS and Android with additional components for product reviews, comparison tables and special features. Omerlo's teams have also integrated a paywall and native in-app payment system to better manage subscriptions.

Le Devoir

After more than 100 years in business, Montreal daily Le Devoir embarked on a digital transformation, which became a top priority in 2016. That same year, the mobile app was launched, but the transition didn't stop there. In 2019, the tablet application (compatible on Apple and Android devices) is completely redesigned. It is in fact an adaptation of the Capitales Médias Group platforms, which were developed by Omerlo. The reader's experience is completely transformed, becoming more fluid and intuitive.

ULaval News

In 2019, Université Laval is overhauling its continuous university information platform, becoming more and more its own media. While the aim is first and foremost to update its image and facilitate navigation, it is now a wider readership that has access to and consumes its content. To achieve this, the institution turned to Omerlo Technologies, already used by some of the province's leading media. This decision reinforces the university's existing partnership with the Coops de l'information media.
